And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

A Iconium, ils entrèrent de même dans la synagogue des Juifs et parlèrent de telle façon qu' une grande foule de Juifs et de Grecs embrassèrent la foi.

Asa 14:2

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.

Fa ny Jiosy izay tsy nino dia nampitaitra ny jentilisa ka nanome fo azy hanohitra hanohitra ny rahalahy.

Asa 14:3

Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

Paul et Barnabé prolongèrent donc leur séjour assez longtemps, pleins d' assurance dans le Seigneur, qui rendait témoignage à la prédication de sa grâce en opérant signes et prodiges par leurs mains.

Asa 14:4

But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

La population de la ville se partagea. Les uns étaient pour les Juifs, les autres pour les apôtres.

Asa 14:5

And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

Chez les païens et les Juifs, leurs chefs en tête, on se préparait à les maltraiter et à les lapider.

Asa 14:6

They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

Mais s' en étant rendu compte, ils allèrent chercher refuge dans les villes de la Lycaonie, Lystres, Derbé et leurs environs,

Asa 14:7

And there they preached the gospel.

Tany Listra, nisy lehilahy anankiray nalemy tongotra hatrany an-kibon-dreniny ka tsy mbola namindra, fa nipetraka hatrany hatrany.

où ils se mirent à annoncer la Bonne Nouvelle.

Asa 14:8

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother' s womb, who never had walked:

Asa 14:9

The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,

Asa 14:10

Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

Asa 14:11

And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

Ary nony hitan' ny vahoaka betsaka izay zavatra nataon' i Paoly, dia nanandratra ny feony ka nanao tamin' ny fitenin' i Lykaonia hoe: Efa nidina nankaty amintsika ny andriamanitra maka ny endrik' olona!

A la vue de ce que Paul venait de faire, la foule s'écria, en lycaonien : " Les dieux, sous forme humaine, sont descendus parmi nous ! "

Asa 14:12

And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.

Ils appelaient Barnabé Zeus et Paul Hermès, puisque c'était lui qui portait la parole.

Asa 14:13

Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.

Les prêtres du Zeus-de-devant-la-ville amenèrent au portail des taureaux ornés de guirlandes, et ils se disposaient, de concert avec la foule, à offrir un sacrifice.

Asa 14:14

Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,

Fa nony nahare izany ny Apostoly, dia Barnabasy sy Paoly, dia nandriatra ny fitafiany izy ka nitsarapaka nankeo afovoan' ny olona sady niantso nanao hoe:

Informés de la chose, les apôtres Barnabé et Paul déchirèrent leurs vêtements et se précipitèrent vers la foule en criant :

Asa 14:15

And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

" Amis, que faites-vous là ? Nous aussi, nous sommes des hommes, soumis au même sort que vous, des hommes qui vous annoncent d' abandonner toutes ces vaines idoles pour vous tourner vers le Dieu vivant qui a fait le ciel, la terre, la mer et tout ce qui s' y trouve.

Asa 14:16

Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

Izay namela ny firenena rehetra handeha tamin' ny lalana tiany haleha tamin' ny andro lasa.

kanefa tsy nitsahatra ny nanisy vavolombelona hanambara ny tenany mandrakariva tamin' ny soa nataony, dia ny mandatsaka ny ranonorana avy any an-danitra, ny mahavokatra ny tany amin' ny fotoana ka mahavoky hanina antsika, sy mahafeno hafaliana ny fontsika.

Dans les générations passées, il a laissé toutes les nations suivre leurs voies ;

Asa 14:17

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

Kanefa tsy namela ny tenany tsy hanana vavolombelona Izy; fa manao soa Izy, mampilatsaka ny ranonorana avy eny amin' ny lanitra ho anareo sady manome taon-jina ka mahavoky ny fonareo amin' ny hanina sy ny fifaliana.

il n' a pas manqué pour autant de se rendre témoignage par ses bienfaits, vous dispensant du ciel pluies et saisons fertiles, rassasiant vos coeurs de nourriture et de félicité... "

Asa 14:18

And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.

Nefa na dia nilaza izany aza izy, dia saiky tsy nahasakana ny olona tsy hamono zavatra hatao fanatitra aminy.

Tamin' izay dia nisy Jody tonga avy tany Antiokia sy Ikonioma, nanome fo ny vahoaka, ka nitora-bato an' i Paoly izy ireo, sy nitarika azy ho any ivelan' ny tanàna, satria nataony ho efa maty izy.

C' est à peine s' ils réussirent par ces paroles à empêcher la foule de leur offrir un sacrifice.

Asa 14:19

And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.

Ary nisy Jiosy tonga avy tany Antiokia sy Ikonioma, izay nitaona ny vahoaka ka nitora-bato an' i Paoly, dia nitarika azy ho eny ivelan' ny tanàna, satria nataony fa efa maty izy.

Kanjo nony tonga nanodidina azy ny mpianatra, dia nitsangana izy, ka niditra tao an-tanàna. Ny ampitso ihany dia lasa nankany Derbe izy sy Barnabe.

Survinrent alors d' Antioche et d' Iconium des Juifs qui gagnèrent les foules. On lapida Paul et on le traîna hors de la ville, le croyant mort.

Asa 14:20

Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

Fa nony nanodidina azy ny mpianatra, dia nitsangana izy ka lasa niakatra tao an-tanàna. Ary nony ampitso dia niala tao izy sy Barnabasy ka nankany Derbe.

Ary rahefa nitory ny Evanjely tamin' izany tanàna izany izy ka nahazo mpianatra maro, dia niverina tany Listra sy Ikonioma ary Antiokia,

Mais, comme les disciples faisaient cercle autour de lui, il se releva et rentra dans la ville. Et le lendemain, avec Barnabé, il partit pour Derbé.

Asa 14:21

And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

Après avoir évangélisé cette ville et y avoir fait bon nombre de disciples, ils retournèrent à Lystres, Iconium et Antioche.

Asa 14:22

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

nampahery ny fanahin' ny mpianatra ka nananatra azy haharitra amin' ny finoana, sady nilaza fa tsy maintsy ho amin' ny fahoriana be no idirantsika amin' ny fanjakan' Andriamanitra.

Isan' Eglizy nalehany, nony efa nivavaka sy nifady hanina izy ireo dia nanendry Pretra, sy nanankina azy tamin' ny Tompo izay efa ninoany.

Ils affermissaient le coeur des disciples, les encourageant à persévérer dans la foi, " car, disaient-ils, il nous faut passer par bien des tribulations pour entrer dans le Royaume de Dieu ".

Asa 14:23

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

Ils leur désignèrent des anciens dans chaque Église, et, après avoir fait des prières accompagnées de jeûne, ils les confièrent au Seigneur en qui ils avaient mis leur foi.

Asa 14:24

And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

Ary rehefa nandeha namaky an' i Pisidia izy, dia tonga tany Pamfylia.

Ary rahefa nitory ny tenin' ny Tompo tany Perjy izy, dia nidina nankany Atalia.

Traversant alors la Pisidie, ils gagnèrent la Pamphylie.

Asa 14:25

And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:

Ary nony efa nitory ny teny tany Peryga izy, dia nidina nankany Atalia.

Avy ao izy, dia niondrana an-tsambo hankany Antiokia, fa teo no nanolorana azy hoentin' ny fahasoavan' Andriamanitra hanao ny asa izay vitany.

Puis, après avoir annoncé la parole à Pergé, ils descendirent à Attalie ;

Asa 14:26

And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.

Dia niondrana an-tsambo niala teo izy hankany Antiokia, izay efa nanolorana azy ho amin' ny fahasoavan' Andriamanitra ho amin' ny asa izay novitainy.

de là ils firent voile vers Antioche, d' où ils étaient partis, recommandés à la grâce de Dieu pour l' oeuvre qu' ils venaient d' accomplir.

Asa 14:27

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

Ary rehefa tonga tao izy ka namory ny fiangonana, dia nilaza izay rehetra nataon' Andriamanitra tamin' ny nombany azy, sy ny namohany varavaram-pinoana ho an' ny jentilisa.

A leur arrivée, ils réunirent l'Église et se mirent à rapporter tout ce que Dieu avait fait avec eux, et comment il avait ouvert aux païens la porte de la foi.

Asa 14:28

And there they abode long time with the disciples.

Dia nitoetra elaela ihany tamin' ny mpianatra izy.

Ils demeurèrent ensuite assez longtemps avec les disciples.
