When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.

I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.

I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

Je les menais avec des attaches humaines, avec des liens d' amour; j'étais pour eux comme ceux qui soulèvent un nourrisson tout contre leur joue, je m' inclinais vers lui et le faisais manger.

He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.

Tsy hiverina ho any amin' ny tany Egypta izy, fa Asyria no ho mpanjakany, satria tsy nety nibebaka izy.

Tsy hiverina ho any amin' ny tany Ejipta izy; ary Asora no ho mpanjakany, noho izy tsy nety nibebaka.

Il ne reviendra pas au pays d'Égypte, mais Assur sera son roi. Puisqu' il a refusé de revenir à moi,

And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.

Hampandihizana sabatra ao an-tanànany ka handrava ny hidiny ary handevona izany, noho ny fisainan' izy ireo.

l'épée sévira dans ses villes, elle anéantira ses verrous, elle dévorera à cause de leurs desseins.

And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.

Mon peuple est cramponné à son infidélité. On les appelle en haut, pas un qui se relève!

Hos / Os 11:8

How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

Hataoko ahoana e no fahafoy anao, ry Efraima, na ho fanolotra anao, ry Isiraely! Hataoko ahoana e no fanao anao ho tahaka an' i Adma! Hataoko ahoana e no fametraka anao ho tahaka an' i Zeboima! Onena ny foko, mafy loatra ny alaheloko.

Hataoko ahoana no famoy anao, ry Efraima, na fanolotra anao, ry Israely? Hataoko ahoana no famela anao ho tahaka an' i Adama, na fampanjary anao ho tahaka an' i Seboima? Onena ny foko ato anatiko, ary indray miontana ny fangorahako rehetra.

Comment t' abandonnerais-je, Éphraïm, te livrerais-je, Israël ? Comment te traiterais-je comme Adma, te rendrais-je semblable à Çeboyim ? Mon coeur en moi est bouleversé, toutes mes entrailles frémissent.

Hos / Os 11:9

I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

Tsy hanontolo fo Aho, na handringana an' i Efraima intsony; Fa Andriamanitra Aho, fa tsy olona, dia ny Iray Masina ao aminao, ka dia tsy ho avy amim-pahatezerana mirehitra Aho.

Tsy hanarana ny firehetan' ny hatezerako aho, tsy horavako fanindroany Efraima. Fa Andriamanitra aho, fa tsy olombelona; eo afovoanao ilay Masina, ka tsy ho tonga aho mitondra ny fisafoahako.

Je ne donnerai pas cours à l' ardeur de ma colère, je ne détruirai pas à nouveau Éphraïm, car je suis Dieu et non pas homme, au milieu de toi je suis le Saint, et je ne viendrai pas avec fureur.

They shall walk after the Lord: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.

Harahin' ireny Jehovah, hierona toy ny liona Izy; Eny, Izy no hierona, dia hanatona amin-kovitra avy any andrefana ny zanaka.

Derrière Yahvé ils marcheront, comme un lion il rugira; et quand il rugira, les fils viendront, tremblants, de l' Occident;

They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the Lord.

comme un passereau ils viendront en tremblant de l'Égypte, comme une colombe, du pays d' Assur, et je les ferai habiter dans leurs maisons, oracle de Yahvé.

Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
