Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Bien-aimés, dès maintenant, nous sommes enfants de Dieu, et ce que nous serons n' a pas encore été manifesté. Nous savons que lors de cette manifestation nous lui serons semblables, parce que nous le verrons tel qu' il est.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

Celui qui commet le péché est du diable, car le diable est pécheur dès l' origine. C' est pour détruire les oeuvres du diable que le Fils de Dieu est apparu.

1Jn / 1Jo 3:9

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Izay rehetra naterak' Andriamanitra no tsy manota, satria ny voany mitoetra ao anatiny, ary tsy mahay manota izy, satria naretak' Andriamanitra.

Izay rehetra naterak' Andriamanitra dia tsy manota, satria mitoetra ao aminy ny voa nafafin' Andriamanitra, sady naterak' Andriamanitra izy ka tsy mahazo manota.

Quiconque est né de Dieu ne commet pas le péché parce que sa semence demeure en lui ; il ne peut pécher, étant né de Dieu.

1Jn / 1Jo 3:10

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

A ceci sont reconnaissables les enfants de Dieu et les enfants du diable : quiconque ne pratique pas la justice n' est pas de Dieu, ni celui qui n' aime pas son frère.

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother' s righteous.

loin d' imiter Caïn, qui, étant du Mauvais, égorgea son frère. Et pourquoi l'égorgea-t-il ? Parce que ses oeuvres étaient mauvaises, tandis que celles de son frère étaient justes.

Nous savons, nous, que nous sommes passés de la mort à la vie, parce que nous aimons nos frères. Celui qui n' aime pas demeure dans la mort.

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

A ceci nous avons connu l' Amour : celui-là a donné sa vie pour nous. Et nous devons, nous aussi, donner notre vie pour nos frères.

But whoso hath this world' s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

Si quelqu' un, jouissant des biens de ce monde, voit son frère dans la nécessité et lui ferme ses entrailles, comment l' amour de Dieu demeurerait-il en lui ?

1Jn / 1Jo 3:18

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Anaka, aoka tsy ho tia amin' ny teny na amin' ny lela isika, fa amin' ny asa sy amin' ny marina.

Anaka, aza tia am-bava sy amin' ny teny fotsiny, fa amin' ny asa sy amin' ny fo tokoa.

Petits enfants, n' aimons ni de mots ni de langue, mais en actes et en vérité.

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

si notre coeur venait à nous condamner, car Dieu est plus grand que notre coeur et il connaît tout.

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

Bien-aimés, si notre coeur ne nous condamne pas, nous avons pleine assurance devant Dieu :

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
