Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the Lord.

Tamin' ny taona faharoa nahatongavany teo amin' ny tranon' Andriamanitra tao Jerosalema, tamin' ny volana faharoa, dia nanomboka ny asa Zorobabela zanak' i Salatiela, Josoe zanak' i Josedeka, mbamin' ireo rahalahiny sisa, ny mpisorona sy ny levita, ary izay rehetra tao Jerosalema, avy any amin' ny fahababoana, ka nanendry ny levita hatramin' ny roapolo taona no ho miakatra izy, hitarika ny asa amin' ny tranon' ny Tompo.

C' est la seconde année de leur arrivée au Temple de Dieu à Jérusalem, le deuxième mois, que Zorobabel, fils de Shéaltiel, et Josué, fils de Yoçadaq, avec le reste de leurs frères, les prêtres, les lévites et tous les gens rentrés de captivité à Jérusalem, commencèrent l' ouvrage, et ils confièrent aux lévites de vingt ans et au-dessus la direction des travaux du Temple de Yahvé.
